The lives of thousands of families and individuals on the brink of financial destruction and homelessness are being stabilized through the works of Caring For Others, Inc. (CFO, Inc.).
Five years ago, I received a call to leave the comforts of my corporate job and use my talents and resources to help people in my community and throughout
Metropolitan Atlanta who were underserved and on the verge of homelessness. JOIN US IN OUR CRUSADE.
"Albert Schweitzer once wrote that the purpose of human life is to serve and to show compassion and the will to help others." It was my hope that I could provide a place for people to receive a helping hand and the immediate support needed to maintain their hope and dignity that is often needed during difficult times.
Today, Caring For Others, Inc., is a major partner in the fight to prevent homelessness throughout the state of Georgia- especially in the Atlanta Metropolitan area.
None of us ever knows when we might be in a position to need a helping hand during a difficult time. Imagine suddenly losing your job due to circumstances beyond your control; having your utilities turned off; receiving an eviction or foreclosure notice because there is no money to pay the rent or mortgage; and- being unable to provide adequate food and clothing for your children. This is the reality for so many in our community – not because they were lazy or poor planners, but because homelessness knows no boundaries.
While CFO, Inc. takes pride in the number of families and individuals it has served, the problem of homelessness continues to grow. CFO, Inc. knows it will take an army of givers to get the job done. I am asking you to become a member of that army. Please join me in the effort to ensure the future of Caring For Others, Inc. and its programs by becoming a 100 Giving $100 monthly sponsor. As a donor to the 100 Giving $100 campaign, your name or company name will be placed on a banner to be prominently displayed in the CFO, Inc. office.
The list will also be included on all program booklets and annual reports published by CFO, Inc. Funds raised through the 100 Giving $100 campaign, will finance the continuation of programs offered by CFO, Inc. which includes: A Food Pantry, Emergency Financial Assistance, Clothing and Furniture Bank, Life Skills Training and Community Holiday Giveaways.
Anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.†While Caring For Others, Inc. is not looking to change the world, the organization does want to change lives. By providing food, clothing and other assistance to families and individuals in need, CFO, Inc. is planting a seed of hope in (Georgia, metropolitan Atlanta, and our community).
As more people join the cause of Caring For Others, we will develop programs designed to nurture those seeds so they can grow into firmly rooted trees of economic stability and self sufficiency in our (state, city, or community). Your tax-deductible donation or pledge will have a far-reaching impact in our community. Thank you for your consideration.
Gratefully Yours,

Eslene Shockley
