History

Caring For Others, Inc. (CFO) is a human services organization established in November 2001 to facilitate personal dignity and provide basic necessities to economically-disadvantaged individuals, senior citizens, the disabled, the unemployed, and families with children.

Mission

It is our mission to help eradicate poverty around the world by feeding, educating, clothing and housing one family at a time. We do not work for ourselves or even for one another; we work for the greater good. 

Vision

Caring For Others, Inc. offers an advanced model for human services that strives to prevent the familiar cycle of poverty many people face today. We help stabilize lives by meeting immediate basic needs of food and clothing, and then provide support to help clients become more self-sufficient. Caring For Others provides personal and financial support during turbulent times including individual counseling, money management training, job retention and job placement services. We do our work through a number of structured programs helping a wide range of people in need.

To serve our community and fulfill this mission, our organization depends critically on the charitable giving of others.

At Caring For Others, we seek progressive solutions across the entirety of our platform including developing a unique and more sustainable business model with “Care Mart.” Our Care Mart store generates income through the sale of discounted items such as furniture, clothing and other household goods.  While we strive daily to fulfill our vision, the demands for our services and the needs of the less fortunate remain a daunting and growing challenge.  Please join us in giving your time and talents in our fight for people facing the cycle of poverty.  With your help, Caring For Others can preserve their lives, their homes and their dignity.
