NEARLY TWO DECADES OF WORKING TO HELP THOSE IN NEED
2001 – And so it began. With $25 in her pocket and a vision to give a voice to the face of poverty, Eslene Richmond-Shockley founded Caring For Others in Atlanta.
2005 – In the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, two of the most intense hurricanes in U.S. history, Caring For Others launches relief distributions for thousands of families forced to relocate to the Atlanta area.
2011 – Caring For Others became the proud owner of the organization’s first building, which included a warehouse, offices and community center. The same year, the organization launched its international outreach.
2015 – With the expansion of its global outreach, Caring For Others helps struggling individuals and families in Antigua, Barbuda, Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Nigeria and the Philippines.
2017 – As of today, Caring For Others has served more than 3 million individuals in the United States and throughout the world.
